Dan Region of Towns – Hiriya
Project Title: Hiriya Landfill Methane-Capture.
Location: Dan Region, Israel.
The Hiriya Landfill Project collects and flares landfill gas to reduce odours and to prevent explosions at the site. Some of the gas may be sold to local industry as a fuel-replacement, which will cut the use of fossil fuels and contribute to improved air quality in the area.
